A BENTLEY ‘BLAST’

Posted on

Last week, not only one, but two illustrious visitors turned up at the vineyard.  The first was the very latest Marlin Blue Bentley Flying Spur V8s, (that’s an ‘s’ for ‘sport’), and it was driven by the artist and photographer Viscomte Yves de Contades, who is the founder of the eXcellence Group. He was accompanied by Emily de Contades, Head of Production; they arrived together to photograph this stunning Bentley against the backdrop of vines in a rural setting as part of a series of shots for their online and print luxury lifestyle magazine. Exton Park was happy to oblige, so we duly set off for the furthest point of the 55 acre vineyard.

We are happy to report that the Bentley is as robust as it looks, and remained unperturbed throughout the shoot, despite our misgivings about the terrain. Its sleek sophisticated lines looked superb beside the myriad rows of vines, but sadly Fred will not be swapping his trusty pickup for one of these.

However, he and Corinne did get in on the act later on as they poured a glass of our unique Pinot Meunier Rosé for all of us all as we stood next to the Bentley overlooking the copse halfway up the vineyard.

We always said it was the ideal place for an aperitif…..
